I often find virtuoso sparql endpoints in the wild that have unfortunately picked up the default settings that are not ideal.
It could be worth having a guide that explains which things should be set up in virtuoso.ini e.g.
[SPARQL]
ResultSetMaxRows=10000 ; should be a much higher number unless heavily accessed

As well as other common tuning tips and settings.
